The Bagged Life Movement

It's been around the car show seen for years. Up until a few years ago it was just for show. The ability to lay your ride on the ground with the push of a button was key for that hammered show look.

With the changes in materials and builds over the years our generation is getting the chance to witness a new era in air suspension. With everyone wanting to get everything out of one vehicle,
Air Lift is offering air suspension solutions that will cover just about everything.

With companies like Air Lift around, conquering new roads and squashing all urban legends associated with air suspension is what they do best. Leading the industry with tow and load control systems for over 60 years. Air Lift Company, got their start in stock car racing. You heard me right, I said racing.

Now with an engineering team that I would consider to be the equivalent of an all star basketball team, in the suspension industry. This team has already given us a 2010 Camaro with +1g cornering on stock tires that averaged 157mph for 90 miles. A 2011 Mustang with +1.34g's of cornering force. Volkswagon's that lay their under carriage's on the ground to get a rest, and get up and cruise on demand.

These guy's are providing us with the tools to build a proper car. It's all about practicality these days, form and function right? I love my car's, and want to treat them with the respect they deserve. So instead of bombing around on coils that can't get you into your girls driveway, or even through the grocery store parking lot. Go air and become not only your girl's hero, become your car's hero.

Bagged Life

I live a "Bagged Life". I know there are many of you out there that can say the same. I love to be low, and I prefer to be practical while doing it. I've also lived the life of a static guy. The 10 point turns into parking lots. Knowing which roads and which lanes were safe to drive on. You know, the price you have to pay to play. Well not any more!

I saw the light, it was shining down on me! It spoke to me and said, "There has to be a better way...". The next day a fleshy tattooed white knight entered my shop by the name of Sir Corey Rosser. He was spreading the knowledge of air suspension across the land!!!

Well enough of that. With the changes in today's technology, air suspension has been rewriting the books. Not only is it practical in everyday driving, it helps you actually enjoy your vehicle.

There are many more benefits to air suspension then just the jaw dropping, earth scraping stance, you get with the simple push of a button. You can finally take the same car to the track, pick up the groceries, take your girl and her little bro to the movies, and safely let her drive home. All this with no worries of blowing out your body kit, or blasting your oil pan into a million piece's.

I am lucky enough to have the privilege to work for a great leader in the air suspension industry. They were able to turn a hardcore coil lovin corner carvin junkie, into a hardcore bag lovin coil carvin junkie. I finally had all my egg's in one basket. One suspension that did it all, and did it all with the push of a button.

Air Lift is jumping into the air suspension market with more than just 60 years of knowledge, and an engineering team with a racing history longer than a roll of TP. They are jumping in with the pride and passion it takes to build a no holds barred, all in one suspension solution.

Keep your eye on what changed my life. It was Air Lift Company, not only can I drive over speed bumps now. I have the confidence in knowing I can pull into any driveway, cross any intersection, drive down any road!!! Sleep at night knowing when I wake up the next morning, all I have to do is hit that button and a whole new day in the world of bagged life begins.

Air Lift will be releasing Audi kit's in March!!!

That's right, this coming March, Air Lift Company will be releasing their long awaited Audi line. With the growing popularity of air suspension in the automotive aftermarket, Air Lift has clawed their way to the top.

Being known for the amazing ride and handling of their Mk2-3 and Mk5 VW kits, I can only imagine what's to come of the new Audi line of air suspension. Being one of the only fully engineered air suspension kit's on the market, Air Lift has topped the scales with coil-over handling and a show winning stance.

You can expect to see plenty more from Air Lift Company, in the days to come. If it's not setting speed and track records in air suspended vehicle's, it's designing some of the world's best load control systems on the market today. With over 60 years in the air suspension industry you can always expect Air Lift, to be the leader in everything air suspension.

Air Lift Company has Universal Struts!!!

Well yes, actually they do. It seems not to many people know this. When I was a shop owner I was asked plenty of times to put air suspension on cars, that kits weren't available for. After turning away so much business I needed to find a solution. Air Lift Company was my answer.

They have a full line of universal struts, fronts and rears. Sleeves and Bellows, also different lengths and valving. With all the different options the skies the limit on available applications. No more need to turn customers away when you have a kit for everyone.

Well last fall I was asked to fit a Lexus LS460 for E Shift Performance, located in Cliffwood Beach, NJ.

Not having a bolt on kit available I decided to use Air Lift's "Short Bellow-Over Universal strut Kit #75562" for the front and their "Long Sleeve-Over Universal Strut Kit #75567
" for the rear. To top it off we used Air Lift's Digital AutoPilot, for the air Management kit #27639.

I know it might seem like a tough job building custom struts, but it's not. A lot of shops have the ability to do some pretty basic fab work and that is all you need to build a custom air kit. Having the stock suspension in hand makes it even easier. All you are doing is building an exact replica of the upper and lower mounts. Then taking measurement's of the suspension travel. Once in hand a very straight forward build.

I hope this little bit of info will help steer you in the right direction when doing your next custom build. Shop owner's and builder's don't lose out on a job when you can contact Air Lift and get everything needed. From start to finish, they are there for any air suspension needs.

If you have any questions about Air Lift Products, or using their universal struts, feel free to ask.

These products can be found at www.airliftcompany.com, and through your local or online Air Lift Dealer.

2010 Camaro at Gingerman Raceway on Air Lift air suspension

Bitchin Camaro!!!

Not sure how many of you will get the title of this post. It was a Dead Milkmen song from the 80's and totally fit's Air Lift's new 2010 Chevy Camaro air suspension kit!

Until now air suspension carried the rep of being just for show. Well the guy's at Air Lift Company, have designed a product so amazing every Camaro owner should check it out.

With the powerful stance of it's 4" drop the 2010 Camaro becomes a real show stopper. When it comes to making a car look proper these guy's are the kings. And when it comes to making a show car do magic tricks like stand up and handle like a champ, Air Lift Company is leading the way.

I bet you didn't know that Air Lift Company set a record at the Silver State Classic this year for being the first car on air suspension to ever enter the race. Not only did they drive from Lansing, MI all the way to Nevada. They placed 11th with an average speed of 157mph in the 150mph class. Then made the journey home without skipping a beat.

The Air Lift Camaro kit is also capable of +1g cornering on stock tires! Show me another
suspension kit that will let you drop to the ground and tear up the track with
the push of a button.

When it comes to suspension design and innovation Air Lift Company is leading the way. If you are looking for more answers or just can't live without such an amazing product contact your local airlift dealer. They also have a dealer locater on the website.

The "Air Lift Company 2005-11 Ford Mustang" air suspension kit

Well here is another great product following the release of Air Lift's popular 2010 Chevy Camaro kit.

If you attended SEMA show this year you might have gotten a glimpse of it. It can also be seen at the LA Auto Show right at this very moment.

Not only does Air Lift improve the appearance with a 4" dropped stance, they also improved the handling. Finally, you can have that show car look, with real sports car handling.

Air Lift's car achieved 1.3g running some very abused BFG R1's in 245/45/18's, at Gingerman Raceway in MI.

This kit is amazing! Air Lift is paving the way for the guys and gals that want everything out of their vehicles.

So if you want to have that hammered to the ground show car look, the ability to run the track on the weekends, and be able to have a comfortable daily driver this is it.

Contact your local Air Lift dealer for more information, or use the dealer locater on the website.

Air Lift Company MK2-3 kit release

Well we all knew it was coming... The day a superior company like Air lift Company, would start pumping out full air suspension kits for the VW aftermarket. Well as most of you already know we have already released two great kits. That would be our MK4 and MK5 kits.

With this kit we believe MK2-3 owner's will achieve the ultimate low, ride, and handling out of one package. After prototyping we put all of our products though brutal testing. On and off the track. On some of the most amazing roads and not so amazing roads. In the lab and in our testers personal cars. When we know that we have a product that dominates over other kits we know we are ready to bag the world.

I am already getting the buzz of drunken love on this kits release. I am excited as can be myself. Never have I been so giddy about the release of a new product. With all of the buzz going on with the VWvortex, and emails this will be amazing. I hope there is enough to go around. Well there will always be enough to go around. Some of you will just have to wait a bit for restock.

Well I will see you guys and gals at the shows and g2g's. Hope to see you all scrapin frame.

So Cal Shuffle

Well it looks like I am moving to So Cal. Not only have I been waiting to get out of MI, for life, but I am just excited to be where the car culture's start. Every time I am in So Cal, I see something new and unique. I am as excited as a rich kid in a tuner shop.

My work takes me there. I have been working with Air Lift Company, for quite sometime now. I love it, anybody that wants to pay me for doing what I love, deserves to have my love in return. (Does that even sound right?)

We have recently been making an impact on the VW market all around the world. Our air suspension is a hit. Why wouldn't it be? We are a 60 year old company. Now I am ready to tackle the Scion and VIP markets with extreme force. I will be stopping at shops, shows, and g2g's allover California. Educating the consumer and the retailer is key in my book.

I know this maybe a different kind of product than most have dealt with. Even though it has been around for years. Not a lot of people see air suspension for anything other than show. Well it is way more than show. Air suspension is for everything you every wanted in a vehicle. It gives you the option to tote the family around and not drag anything off your car, or break anyones backs with the bumps. You can lower the car with the push of a button to have a nice ultimate low cruise. Push another button and lift it up to pull into parking lots. Then lay it out for that show look. Our stuff handles great to. We design, build, and test, all of our products with handling in mind. We want you to have a product that lets you do more with your one car than you could have ever imagined.

Installation is a breeze. 90% of our kits are bolt in. That means no cutting or welding. Just a direct replacement of the original piece. Installing the air management is a breeze also. We have universal kits that can be built to suit almost any install need. We also carry over 2000 parts and pieces for the air suspension world.

All I can say is be ready to be educated California. Jesse is coming to town, with the will to educate and show. I hope you are as excited as I am So Cal...

And so the 2010 show season begins

Well its that time of year again. Everyone get your rides ready, its show time. I am always excited this time of year, warm weather, nice cars, and lots of travel time.

I am hoping for a move to Aliso Viejo, CA. I plan on taking our air suspension to the next level. We are already waiting on a tech article in Euro Tuner, company profile, and more print articles than ever before. This year is already looking up. We are getting ready to release our MK2-3 VW kit, as well as the new Camaro. I am on the move educating our customers about our universal kits, and what Air Lift Company, has to offer.

Can't wait to see what all my new found friends in the world of air suspension have to bring to the table this year. Should be good times, sweet cars, and even better build stories. So let the shows begin.

Euro Tuner, Dc Performance, and Pure Euro install

Well I finally got to do an install for a magazine. Air Lift Company, will be in Euro Tuner magazine, for a tech install I did on Samuel Du's, MK4 GTI. I also did an install on a new beetle for Brandon, of Pure Euro. The guys that hold the Wuste Fest Show.

I never realized how tedious it could be doing a tech article. Picture after picture, pose after pose. Well there really wasn't any posing, just stuff like can you tighten that bolt again, how did you do that, is this what you recommend? Other than all of that I have never had so much fun doing an install.

Brandon and Sam were some of the coolest guys I have ever dealt with considering I never really allowed customers into my shop during installs. Since this was being done on unfamiliar territory (DC Performance in LA) I was glad to be with friends.
